Well, that was certainly a refreshing little bundle of “joy”.

Small, short, and sweet, this story was not what you would call unique. Oh, no, on the contrary! What Jay the werewolf and Libbie the witch slash something much stronger have is what we all have seen countless times in shifter romance books. Soulmates, two people who are meant to be together, and that translates into extreme sexual attraction – not to mention the kind that ignites at first glance.

So what, then, made this story so nice to read?

It was the pace. Somehow, Elianne Adams managed to move fast, but without leaving out the most important parts that a reader of a sexy romantic short story would be expecting. I’m talking about sexy hot scenes. Funny and quick wit in the dialogues. A dash of paranormal and mystery, and a good dose of heavy-packed action. And she did all that, in less than 100 pages.

So yes, I did enjoy the book quite thoroughly. In fact, I can’t wait to see what else the author has in store for the other characters I saw in there. Something tells me she won’t disappoint~
